What is Ultherapy?
Ultherapy is a rejuvenative skin tightening treatment designed to lift, tighten, and tone sagging skin on the face, neck, chest, and around the eyes. It utilizes powerful radiofrequency energy to deliver heat to the deep layers of your skin.
The heat will allow the existing collagen in the treatment area to contract while also promoting the natural production of more collagen. This results in a noticeable lift, an improvement in skin laxity, and the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles without the need to cut through the surface of the skin.
What is an Ultherapy Treatment Like?
Ultherapy is the ideal solution for younger patients who want to rejuvenate their facial appearance, but aren’t ready or don’t desire an invasive technique like a facelift. The time it takes to perform the treatment varies depending on the area you desire to be treated. Generally, patients can expect up to 45 minutes for a full face rejuvenation, a half hour for the neck, and as little as 15 minutes for the area around the eyes.
During the treatment, you’ll feel the warm sensation of the ultrasound energy working on the deep layers of your skin. Some find this sensation to be quite soothing, but we do provide a numbing cream to help avoid any discomfort that may occur during the treatment process.
Is There Any Downtime After Ultherapy?
Ultherapy is a non-surgical and non-invasive treatment, meaning there is no downtime or recovery after the treatment is over. Patients are free to return to their normal daily activities without a hitch in their step. Some patients may experience some slight redness, tingling, and tenderness to the touch, but these issues are temporary and will subside quickly.
When Will I Notice Results From Ultherapy?
Following your Ultherapy treatment, you may see some initial results immediately after, but as your body continues to produce more collagen, these results will continue to improve over the course of two to three months. The results last as long as your body continues to produce new collagen, with some patients experiencing improvements that have lasted over a year. Depending on your skin’s response to the treatment, you may choose to undergo the procedure down the line to maintain these results.
